1. Planning Advice

2. Planning Assessments and/or Feasibility Studies

We provide Planning Assessments at the pre-purchase, mid-development, and resource consent application stages. ​​We understand that purchasing a property, building or subdividing is one of the biggest investments in your lifetime, so you want to get it right by being well-informed of any risks/benefits. We cater our Planning Assessments to your needs. We can provide an affordable fast 'high-level' assessment via email within 5 working days or a 'comprehensive' report within 10 working days.​ We've outlined the benefits of our Planning Assessments and how they can help you below:

  • Our Planning Assessments provide you with a much better understanding of any Planning risks or benefits you might not have been made aware of by Council and your lawyer.

  • We assess your project on it's merits and provide advice on whether we think you could achieve Council approval. 

  • We review all the relevant property and building documentation for the site and inform you of any potential risks. 

  • We review and detail any legislative requirements you need to be aware of such as Council District Plan rules.

  • We review and detail any Planning risks you need to be aware of i.e. flooding/tsunami zones, neighbouring developments affecting development, land contamination etc. 

  • We detail if there are any potential options available to save costs or time for your project.

3. Resource Consents Applications

We specialize in both District and Regional Council Resource Consenting requirements. Our resource consent applications are prepared to a high standard and with our Local Government knowledge we know how to navigate Councils processes to achieved streamlined approvals and save our clients time and money.

We have a wide range of expertise in preparing resource consent applications and Assessment of Environmental Effects (AEE). Below are some examples of what we can do:

District Council

  • Within Scope Amendments

  • Certificate of Compliance

  • Land Contamination (NESCS) Remediation

  • Deemed Permitted Boundary Adjustments
